ZACH ON THE ISSUES

Wages and Affordability

Ohioans deserve rising wages.

Prices are not going to come down (that’s an empty campaign promise and would indicate a weak economy). A livable minimum wage and equal pay for equal work are the foundation of affordability. Moving forward, we should take a look at the pay transparency laws on the books in Cleveland and Columbus.

To keep bright minds in Ohio, we must support diverse opportunities among skilled trades, a college education, and entrepreneurial support.

Reproductive Rights

Voters decided!

Abortion is legal in Ohio and, per our Constitution, the State shall not, directly or indirectly, burden, penalize, prohibit, interfere with, or discriminate against it.

As a doctor and a policy maker I think it is important we allow medical providers to make evidence based decisions with their patients.

Public Education

If Ohio is to be the Heart of it All, our children are the start of it all.

As a proud public school graduate who's raising two Columbus City Schools students, I will fight for quality, funded schools. We must return to implementing the expert-crafted, bi-partisan Fair School Funding plan.

Conversations about property tax, especially for corporations, must be based on funding public education.

Healthcare

People >>> profit.

I know healthcare from the inside. I'm triple-boarded in internal medicine, pediatrics, and hospice & palliative medicine. I served the past four years as an Ohio Medicaid Assistant Medical Director. And I'm on your team.

We set the rules private insurance companies must play by.
